Students are taught safe and efficient work practices in order to preserve the integrity of the blood specimen with respect to drawing, processing, and transporting specimens, preparing them for entry-level positions in the field of healthcare. Students also prepare to take their national certification exam. The length of time normally required to complete this program is 4 months full-time.
